Biography
Hello, my name is Erica Wasmund and I am a 5th grade teacher at Academy Del Sol-Star Valley. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Family Studies and Human Development from Arizona State University.
This is my 8th year teaching here at Academy Del Sol. I have spent the last 15+ years working with children in a variety of capacities. I have worked in a K-2nd grade autism program, I spent 8 years with the Arizona Department of Child Safety, and I concurrently spent 7 years as a children's dance instructor, teaching tap, jazz, and ballet. Here at ADS, I have also worked in the Special Ed department, and in Performing Arts.
I was born in a small town in Illinois, where I lived for the first 5 years of my life before moving to Los Angeles, CA. We spent 7 years in California, and then moved to Arizona in 1995. My family and I moved from Sierra Vista to Tucson about 8 years ago. I have a twenty year old daughter named Emily. We enjoy traveling, going to new places, and trying new foods.
