Biography
My name is Michael Sewell. This will be my third year as a 4th grade teacher at Academy Del Sol, Star Valley. I am originally from Columbus, Ohio. I am a father of 4, two boys and two girls. All four have children of their own and not only am I a grandfather, but I am a great grandfather. I served in the U.S. Army (1974 – 1984). I was a Radio Communications Specialist and went on to work for various companies involved in education.
I began my teaching career as a preschool teacher. I studied Early Childhood Development at Columbus State College in Columbus, Ohio. I then transferred to The Ohio State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human
Development Family Science, Family Studies, and a minor in Statistics (3/2003). In 2013, I was awarded a master’s degree in the Art of Teaching (MAT) Elementary Education from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
